. good day. i'm andrea mitchell live in washington, and first it was ohio. then, indiana i understand and wisconsin. now the labor mooumt is fighting for its rights in lansing, michigan. out in the cold voicing outrage on the steps of the statehouse over right to work legislation that governor rick snyder says he will be signing when it reaches his desk likely tomorrow. joining me now nbc's ron mott live in lansing. ron, what is the latest, and how did this come to a head so quickly in michigan? >> reporter: it came together very quickly, andrea. good day to you. it's a cold day out here, but these folks are very fired up. they don't like the way that this legislation was pushed through the statehouse here. they believe that this was a republican strategy to go through a lame-duck session. they know they've got a little more democratic leaning legislature coming here next month, and they figure that this was the most opportune time to push this legislation through. a very small window of time to actually debate the issue, and then as you mention, tomorrow governor snyder is expected t

'm joined by elise in washington. first u.s. far from the only country to possess drones neen that part of the world, multiple countries do. could the aircraft belong to someone else? >> well, certainly, michael. the u.s. says none of its drones are missing and it follows it could belong to someone else. the united states has identify the 76 countries that use this type of drone country and many u.s. allies in the persian gulf are also using it. but it's unclear how iran got a hold of it anyway. it's possible that it got lost or it had a mechanical failure. it's not clear that it shot down. >> exactly. one of the questions that's been asked, and they've claimed to have done this before, in fact this announcement comes a day to the -- a year to the day after iran claimed to have shot down another u.s. drone and they say that one crashed in the iranian desert. >> that's right. it's a great propaganda for the iranians to say that they shot down a u.s. drone and last year they got so much bang for their buck, by making a toy of this stealth drone and selling it on the streets of tehran. any

, they will not talk to us at all. they referred us to the washington pr division, sent us right back to pittsburgh. it's been a mess. but the centers for disease control and prevention, they did send a team there in november to investigate this. we're told that the investigation, the results from the cdc will go to the va in coming weeks. we're not sure if that's going to be released to the public. >> and i still can't understand why the va did nothing when they knew they had a problem. >> reporter: actually, anderson, we found out that about six months ago, the va did bring in a consultant who made recommendations on how to fix the water, but the va apparently did not tell that consultant that they had legionnaires cases at the hospital. if they had told the consultants that, there would have been different recommendations, the va would have been told to handle it differently, and we just don't know why, because the va won't talk to us. >> unbelievable. drew, appreciate it. thanks. >>> well, a cnn exclusive ahead. a truly breathtaking display of courage by a syrian teenager. he risked his life to sav

, it is not only vote on the ground, this is an understanding in washington why many people are here. you talk about helping syria. it is basically getting enough help, either of the aid -- enough aid to help those that have been fighting for over a year. there are many commanders that have been proven to be a very trusted people. i really do not know how much this administration tried to find the good people, because when you talk to the officials there, how do you know who was good and bad? if you start trying to find your man now, you are probably too late already. this is my last point, i personally know a couple of people who have been living in the u.s. for 20-30 years and have been financing and fighting themselves. at least they could be easy to fund, but unfortunately they always complain they could not get allegiance from the administration. >> your answer is the u.s. government should provide more support to the insurgency? he could definitely. >> in the form of? >> heavy army. >> in terms of recommendations for the administration, they need to understand time is not on their side.
